I’m a Virginia creeper!

8 April 2014 – I’ve really enjoyed my downtime here in Damascus, VA. This little trail town has a lot to like. The people are very hiker friendly, the local restaurants have tasty food and there’s plenty of outdoor activities. The proprietor of my B&B (Dancing Bear B&B) took me on a bike ride along the Virginia Creeper Trail. This 18 mile bike path runs along the Laurel Fork River at a very easy grade. Get a shuttle to the top and coast down or peddle up and turn around. 23 bridges, waterfalls, trout streams and beaver dams. Great views.

My ankle feels better and I’m back on the trail tomorrow. It will be 4-5 days before I’m connected again. Until then!
